Treasa O’Brien has written on film and art for various journals including Sight & Sound and Film Ireland, and is a regular columnist with Visual Artists Newsletter.  She is editor of the book and DVD boxset Between Truth and Fiction: The Films of Vivienne Dick (LUX, 2010) and was assistant editor of Printed Project 15.  She was project manager of the books Cork Caucus: on art, possibility and democracy (Revolver/NSF 2007) and des/Ire: Designing Houses for Contemporary Ireland (Gandon/NSF 2008).

As a curator and film programmer, she has curated film programmes as Executive Director of Open City Docs Fest (2012-14) and is currently part of ‘the essay gang’ co-curating London’s Essay Film Festival (2015 & 2016 editions).  She has curated film and artists moving image programmes at the ICA, Tate Modern, Crawford Art Gallery, and Artists Space New York.
